Eriez Announces Zimmerman, Kaveney Promotions

Eriez, a world authority in advanced technology for magnetic, vibratory, and inspection applications, announced that Dan Zimmerman has been promoted to the new position of director of business development, and Jeff Kaveney has been promoted to manager—product marketing and administration at Eriez Headquarters. Both men will report to Charlie Ingram, vice president of sales and marketing.

“Dan was instrumental in Eriez’ recent, successful acquisition of Maumee, Ohio-based Hydroflow Filtration Systems and SED Fluid Recycling Equipment,” said Ingram. “He will now take on the leadership in developing this business, including global sales and marketing initiatives as well as coordinating the integration of Hydroflow’s engineering and production in Eriez’ systems and facilities.” According to Ingram, Zimmerman will also retain his overall responsibilities in managing Eriez’ service and repairs support as well as Eriez’ sales efforts in the metalworking markets, including field sales management of Eriez’ U.S. metalworking sales representatives.

Prior to his promotion, Zimmerman served as manager-sales/service support, as well as market manager-metalworking at Eriez World Headquarters. Zimmerman is a graduate of Gannon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
Ingram says, “We are delighted to recognize Dan’s hard work and achievements with this promotion. Dan provides critical insight and leadership that will help Eriez continue to grow and better serve our customers through a broader offering of products and solutions.”

Before his promotion, Kaveney served as manager of product marketing at Eriez.

“While continuing his responsibilities leading Product Management in their technical support of inside and outside sales representatives, coordinating new product development and cost reduction programs with R&D and developing OEM relationships, Jeff will now also oversee Eriez’ customer support efforts, including ordering process systems and communication,” Ingram said “In this capacity, the Order Department will now report to Jeff.”

Kaveney joined the Eriez sales team in 1995 and promptly completed an extensive training program covering all Eriez products. He served as a technical sales representative for separation products until his promotion to product manager, metal detection in 1998. He was then promoted to manager—product marketing in 2007. Kaveney graduated from Gannon University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

“Jeff has a demonstrated ability to accomplish key objectives rapidly and effectively,” says Ingram. “His extensive experience and leadership skills make him an ideal fit for this new role.”
