Compact Wet-in-Place Screener
January 30, 2014
Suitable for food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and other bulk powders, the Russell vibratory screener removes oversize contamination to improve product quality. A small, but powerful motor vibrates the unit, allowing particles smaller than the mesh to pass though the apertures, while larger particles stay on top of the mesh screen. The compact, straight-through design means the sieve can be installed into existing processing lines or areas where there is minimal headroom. A totally enclosed wet-in-place system, featuring spray wash balls, can be fitted to the sieve deck to rinse or clean the inside of the unit, without the need for dis-assembly. Quick-release clamps allow for screen changes, without the need for tools. The sieve also has optional 6-in. view ports fitted to the deck with tri-clamp connections to allow easier inspection of the powder while it is being sifted. It is quiet in operation -- typically less than 70dBA -- and the sieve is available with diameter sizes from 15 to 72 in.
