Bunting Named Finalist for Kansas Exporter of the Year Award

Bunting Magnetics Co., headquartered in Newton, KS, has been chosen as one of five finalists for the Kansas Governor’s Exporter of the Year Award which annually recognizes a Kansas company for exceptional international marketing success. This award encourages the growth of the state’s international commerce by showcasing successful exporters as role models to the Kansas business community.

“We have participated in this award process in the past and are honored to be considered a finalist this year,” said Robert J. Bunting, the company’s owner and chief executive officer. “We feel that we have a strong strategic focus on growing international sales and look forward to sharing our accomplishments and goals with the Kansas International Trade Coordinating Council (KITCC) in April.”

The five finalists for 2011 are:

Bunting Magnetics, Newton
ICE Corp, Manhattan
KASA Controls, Salina
Premier Pneumatics, Salina
 
The five finalists will make presentations to the KITCC at the Topeka and Shawnee County Library on Wednesday, April 20. After all the presentations are given, the KITCC votes to choose this year’s award recipient. The 2011 recipient of the award will be announced by Kansas Governor Sam Brownback on Wednesday, June 29 at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, KS.
