Bunting Magnetics Appoints New National Sales Manager

Bob Crossken has been named national sales manager for Bunting Magnetics Co., headquartered in Newton, KS.

“Bob’s detailed knowledge of our markets and products will enable him to guide our sales team to meet our growth projections,” Robert J. Bunting, the company’s owner and chief executive officer said. “Bob has been vital to the development of the company throughout our history and I feel that he was the natural choice for this important role.”

Crossken has been part of the Bunting team since 1964. During that time, he has served in a variety of roles including sales engineer, regional sales manager and senior district sales manager. Over those 46 years, the only interruption in his time with the company was when he served in the United States Army for two years from 1964-66.

“Despite the recent economic situation, Bunting has weathered the storm well,” Crossken said. “However, there is ground to recover and my immediate goal is to surpass our sales targets. We have product lines that are considered to be best-in-class within the industries we are associated. This has been true since I started and I want to continue to spread that message and reach more potential clients through improved sales coverage.”

As national sales manager, Crossken will be responsible for the management of a nationwide direct sales team as well as a network of distributors and sales representatives. His area of management will include international sales with responsibility for Canada and Mexico. Crossken, who is based in New Jersey, will maintain oversight of his territory in the New England region.
