GEAPS, K-State Offer FGIS Grain Inspections Course

Do you know the ins and outs of the U.S. grain inspection and marketing system and how it affects your business? GEAPS 522: Grain Inspection Orientation is a great tool to help your prepare your team. The online course runs from Feb. 18 through Mar. 24. 

This online course from the GEAPS/K-State Distance Education Program teaches the basic principles of grain inspection. It includes a history of grain inspections and an overview of general inspection techniques. By the end of this course, you should have a solid understanding of grain inspection legislation and laws.

Lectures include:

-      Grain Marketing Legislation
-      Industry Trading Rules
-      Grain Inspection Lab Tour
-      Inspection Variability

This is one of four courses required for the Specialist Credential in Grain Quality Management.

The cost of the course is $700 for GEAPS members and $965 for non-members. Registration closes on Feb. 12.
