Last month, SunFed Produce LLC of Rico, AZ, recalled all sizes of whole fresh American cucumbers. The produce was packaged in bulk cardboard containers labeled with the SunFed label or in a generic white box or black plastic crate with a sticker that provides the implicated grower’s name, Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.

The cucumbers were sold by SunFed and other importers and shipped to customers located in the states of AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, FL, ID, IL, IN, KS, MD, MA, MN, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Calgary, Saskatchewan, & Ontario.

Following the recall, more products were recalled last week due to SunFed Produce cucumbers being in meal kits and more.

  • Walmart has voluntarily recalled Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices, produced in select stores, due to the potential for Salmonella contamination. The recall was initiated because this product may contain recalled whole cucumbers supplied by SunFed Produce. The cucumber slices were sold in 34 Walmart stores in TX.

  • JFE Franchising Inc. of Houston, TX, is recalling a limited number of products because they may be contaminated with salmonella. All items were sold in plastic containers under the SNOWFRUIT or SNOWFOX label and sold at select Kroger retail stores in TX, LA, WY, AZ, and CO.

  • Yummi Sushi of Farmers Branch, TX, has recalled various sushi rolls packaged in clear-plastic grab-n-go containers of various sizes with the appearance of cut produce. • F&S Fresh Foods of Riverside, CA is recalling a Mediterranean Inspired Party Tray 22 oz. The recall was initiated after F&S Fresh Foods was notified that Grecian Delight Tzatziki sauce supplied to F&S Fresh Foods may be contaminated with salmonella because it contains cucumbers recalled by Sunfed Produce. These products were sold at Ralph’s stores in CA, and Smith’s stores in AZ, ID, MT, NV, UT, and WY.

  • Dairyland Produce LLC, dba Hardie’s Fresh Foods of Houston and Dallas, TX is recalling Cucumber Select 6 CT. The cucumbers were distributed only to Costco locations in Houston and Dallas.
