More than 167,000 lbs. of the products have been recalled due to the inclusion of a foreign object.
Perdue Foods is recalling approximately 167,171 lb of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken breast nugget and tenders that might be contaminated with metal.
The recall announcement was made on Thursday by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The frozen, ready-to-eat chicken breast nuggets and tenders were produced on March 23, 2024. The following products are part of the recall:

The products include establishment number “P-33944” on the back of the package. The Perdue chicken nuggets and chicken tenders were shipped to retail locations nationwide and sold online directly to consumers.
The problem was discovered after Perry, GA-based Perdue received consumer complaints about metal wire embedded in the product and notified FSIS of the issue.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
Consumers should throw away any products they have or return them to the store of purchase. Manufacturers should verify no product is in warehouses, and if so, contact Perdue, the supplier, or FSIS.
