There were 23 products recalled by the US Food & Drug Administration in the month of October. This is high, coming off of September's low over all preceding months in the year at 15 total recalls.

In October, there were 19 food & beverage products, 2 drug products, and 2 expanded recalls, with one in food and one in cosmetics. Of the 19 foods and beverages recalled, 7 were due to undeclared allergens, 1 for potential mold contamination, 9 for potential Listeria contamination, 1 for Salmonella contamination, 1 for lack of full product processing.

The two drug recalls were due to an unapproved drug being sold and the presence of glass particles.
