Volkmann Inc. hosted a training course for its manufacturers’ representatives at the company’s newly expanded headquarters and manufacturing base in Soest, Germany.

Ten representatives, covering 16 states and Canada, made the trip for this training centering on both the practical aspects of Volkmann conveyors, from running tests through assembly of the conveyors, as well as conveying theory.

“The primary objective of the training was to ensure that each of our representatives became completely comfortable with the functionality of our systems and the lean, dense, and plug flow applications for which they are suited,” said Nick Hayes, president of Volkmann Inc. “This will better qualify them to assist clients in the selection of the correct equipment and to support them through installation and subsequent operation.”

Representatives were treated to a tour of Volkmann GmbH’s recently renovated and expanded state-of-the-art manufacturing and office spaces. The newest additions of Volkmann conveyors were demonstrated, and the representatives were taken on a tour of the nearby manufacturing plant of Meister Flooring to see Volkmann equipment in operation.
