HammerTek Launches Pneumatic Conveying Elbow Online Library

HammerTek Corp. has launched an online library featuring engineering drawings and specifications for the Smart Elbow, its pneumatic conveying elbow. The new engineering library provides fast, free access to pipe and tube dimensions, line drawings, and technical specifications for more than 1000 different sizes, types, and configurations to help process engineers, plant managers, and other powder-handling professionals determine and specify the ideal elbow for their conveying line. Ninety-degree and 45-degree elbows in Schedule 10, 40, and 80 pipe and in tube dimensions are shown and the drawings may be enlarged and downloaded as PDFs.

The Smart Elbow features an innovative design that virtually eliminates elbow wear by causing conveyed particles to gather in a slowly-rotating, self-renewing, round deflection zone of material and air before proceeding downstream, rather than allow the particles to collide with and wear the outer wall. The Smart Elbow has performed for years without wear or needing replacement in punishing installations conveying highly abrasive powders such as lime, ceramics, granite, and cement dust, among other materials.
