Lorenz discharge valves are manufactured for use above a rotary airlock to prevent pressure from returning to the hopper above. They are ideal for applications requiring higher cycle frequencies. Heavy-duty 3/16-in. stainless blades with built-in material scrapers aid in minimizing packing, shearing, and material build up. The square machined blade “dead ends” against the body of the valve, allowing material to escape below. The discharge valves seal top to bottom in dilute phase conveying. They will vent air only (not product) from the perforated steel on the bottom of the valve. As an option the valves can be air purged to prevent any venting of air. The valves can cut through a standing column of material without using a special service inlet.
