Teknor Apex to Add $7M Manufacturing Line at US Plant

Thermoplastic compounds producer Teknor Apex is committing $7.4 million to expand production at its Brownsville, TN manufacturing site, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and other company and state officials announced in a release Wednesday.

“It is important for Teknor Apex to support the communities in which we operate and with the addition of resources, we will not only be able to better support our customers, but it also allows us to open up more career opportunities in the community,” Teknor Apex Senior Vice President of Operations Paul Burke said in a statement.

The Brownsville site compounds vinyl, nylon, and TPE and manufactures chemicals and garden hose, according to the company’s website. Teknor Apex will install new equipment during the project allowing the company to produce a wider range of products at the facility.

20 new jobs are expected to be created as a result of the expansion.
