Revolution to Expand Polyethylene Products Plant

Closed-loop plastic products supplier Revolution plans to add 32,000 sq ft of space to its 100,000-sq-ft manufacturing plant in Little Rock, AR to enable the firm to continue the growth of its product line, the Arkansas Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) announced in a recent release.

Once operational, the addition will be used to expand the company’s production capabilities for film products and circular solutions. The company’s $20 million investment in the facility is expected to create over 60 new jobs over the next two years.

“From the beginning, we have been unified by a single powerful mission of preserving our environment for future generations,” Revolution CEO Sean Whiteley said in a statement. “We do this by diverting millions of pounds of plastic from landfills each year and turning it back into new products through our innovative collection and recycling processes. We are proud to have the support of Little Rock and the support of the state of Arkansas in these efforts, and we look forward to continued growth in the future.”

During the project, Revolution will install two new blown film lines capable of manufacturing over 40 million lb/yr of film products.

The company currently collects and recycles some 200 million lb/yr of used material. Revolution’s new capacity will assist the company in expanding its offering of products in growing markets like the Upper Midwest and California. Revolution’s product line includes silo and dairy bags, geomembrane film, agricultural film, and construction film and sheeting.
