Specialty polymers manufacturer Polytek Development Corporation recently completed an expansion of its Franklin, IN epoxy plant that added epoxy storage capacity and new processing equipment to the site, the company announced in a release Wednesday.

The project was initiated after Polytek acquired BCC Products Inc., which operated the Franklin facility. Work on the capacity upgrades reached completion this May.

“These substantial additions are aimed to better serve existing and new customers with increased availability and decreased lead times,” Polytek said in the release.

Epoxy products made by Polytek are used in a variety of applications, including marine, automotive, aerospace, and foundry.
