Mondelez International plans to invest AUS $4 million, or about $2.9 million USD, in the expansion of a Cadbury chocolate plant in Australia, the Australian Associated Press (AAP) reported May 17.
The food company intends to use the funds to purchase equipment that will be installed into two new production lines at the Cadbury plant in Claremont, Tasmania.
“We have a $25 milion investment fund for Claremont which is continuing to help us improve the site, our products, and to become globally competitive,” Amanda Banfield, a Mondelez spokesperson told the AAP.
Cadbury Dairy Milk Marvelous Creations Spider and Cadbury Dark Milk products will be produced on the new lines, Banfield said.
