Construction material supplier Chaney Enterprises acquired a ready-mix concrete plant in Bealeton, VA from Lehigh Hanson, the Gambrills, MD-based company announced in a Dec. 29 press release.

The Bealeton facility is one of 18 concrete plants owned by Chaney across Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland.

“Adding the Bealeton plant to our network will allow Chaney Enterprises to better service our customers with the commitment, quality, and passion they have become accustomed to,” the firm’s president, Francis “Hall” Chaney III, said in a statement. “The execution of this strategy is possible due to our team’s passion and hard work.”

Chaney Enterprises said growing demand for construction materials in Virginia and the state’s increasing population were drivers behind the purchase.

The firm said the Bealeton site will also benefit its new Moss Neck Sand & Gravel Facility in Woodford, VA and its plant in Gainesville, VA.
