Vitamins and supplements manufacturer Pharmavite LLC is committing $200 million to open a new production facility in New Albany, OH that will increase its ability to serve customers in the Midwest and East Coast regions.

“Pharmavite is excited to announce a major expansion into the Columbus region, which is rapidly emerging as a leading national hub for science, innovation, and technology companies,” Pharmavite CEO Jeff Boutelle said in a company release Monday. “As a proud Ohioan, I look forward to leading Pharmavite into this new era in which we will develop new reach and capabilities while striving to become an important part of the Columbus and New Albany communities.”

The new plant will occupy up to 250,000 sq ft when the project reaches completion. 225 new jobs will be created through the project. Operations are slated to begin at the site by the end of 2024.
