Volkmann’s versatile bulk bag unloading station (BBU), with fork-lift and hoist versions in both static and mobile platforms, meets the needs of material flow in virtually any production environment. The BBU offers a two-ton capacity and a low-profile pick-up. Other BBU customizations include frame extension sets and electric hoists with passive or active traverse mechanisms, massaging paddles with pneumatic actuators, material agitators and material delumpers to aid material flow; a manual or pneumatic covering for the material discharge module; a Volkmann filter-based dust collector located on the discharge hopper containing the vented product to maintain environmental air quality, reduce losses and keep the surrounding area clean; and an interface for Volkmann conveying systems to move the contained product downstream in the production process. All BBUs feature a patented dust-tight discharge connector to the feed hopper, optimizing dust-free material flow from the bag to the vacuum conveyor and downstream processes without any contamination of the material or work environment.
