pbs0803p20a.jpgHigh-Speed Overhead Product Orienter
This high-speed overhead orienter accepts product for palletizing and turns it 90, 180, or 270 degrees to automatically form the optimal pallet configuration for each product. The orienter can turn bags to form pallets with “butts out” bag orientation, and rotate cases and trays for pallets requiring specific panel orientation. Servo-powered for smooth handling and reliable operation, the mechanism quickly and gently grips and rotates the product to the proper position during high-speed product accumulation. Operation is fully automatic and preprogrammed according to palletizing requirements for one-touch operation at the palletizer’s touch screen display panel. New orientation sequences may be programmed simply by computer input at the control panel, or remotely by modem uplink.

pbs0803p20c.jpgBag Filling and Closing
Technipes FUTURA filling and closing lines are designed for the fully automated packing of all product types into paper, poly, or poly-woven open-mouth bags. FUTURA fill heads may be gross or net weight in configuration, with one or multiple types of product-feed systems. The closing lines may be fitted with any type of closing unit. The machine is suited for bags ranging from 20 to 110 lb. Capacities range up to 1000 bag/hr, and advanced electronic weigh controls ensure accurate bag weights.

pbs0803p20b.jpgBag Dump Stations
These bag dump stations are compact, self-contained units built to eliminate the labor, waste, and potential health hazards associated with the spillage and dust normally caused when bagged materials are introduced into processing systems. Construction is Type 304 stainless steel, with welded interior and exterior. Each station consists of a large collection hopper topped by a bar grate and hinged door, an integral pulse-jet filtration unit equipped with polyester cartridge filters, and a 2-hp, 865-cfm fan. When the hopper’s door is opened, the fan automatically starts to ensure that any dust is drawn through the filter. Programmable pulses of reverse air periodically dislodge the material that collects on the surfaces of the cartridge filters and allow it to fall into the collection hopper. The sloped sides of the hopper angle toward the hopper’s discharge port, which can be joined to gravity-fed spouting or to an airlock and pneumatic line.

pbs0803p20d.jpgBulk Bag Filler
The BagPak AD automatic-ejection bulk bagger filler has been redesigned to accommodate the new palletless bag designs. This unit incorporates simple air bladders to lift the heavy-duty mesh conveyor and drive the full bag to the accumulation conveyor. Densification is accomplished via the same air bladders with quick-dump valves to create a thumping/dumping action on the bag. This type of densification has proven to be more effective than traditional high-frequency vibration for most materials. Additional automation can be achieved via a mechanical indexing arm for fast bag loading, an autopowered size-change device, and a pallet feeder.

pbs0803p20e.jpgInternally Baffled FIBC
The Clean Seal MaxSack container is an internally baffled FIBC with a spread-strap lift-loop design. The technology produces a smooth, clean edge that helps eliminate product-packaging contamination. The unique double-coated baffle fabrication prevents product contamination caused by unraveling fabric. The MaxSack baffled design can contain 25–30% more mateiral than a conventional Super Sack container of the same height. Designed to stay square after filling for maximum use of shipping and storage space, the container is stable and stackable. It is well suited to products with low bulk densities.

pbs0803p21a.jpgPalletizer Systems
Robots provide high-speed palletizing capabilities and precise product placement in compact layout areas using minimal power consumption. An exclusive touch screen interface allows the operator to quickly and easily input bag, stack, and pallet data, and a program automatically determines precise arm movement for optimal performance. Each system is set up, hard wired, and test-run with the customer’s product prior to shipment, ensuring complete system performance, smooth installation, and fast start-up in the customer’s facility.

pbs0803p21b.jpgBulk Bag Loaders and Unloaders
This company manufactures safe, efficient, dust-free bag-loading and -unloading stations for small to large capacities. Three unloader models are available: the Model BDS with air-vibrator-shaker grate, the economical Model MTU with 2500- to 4000-lb capacity, and the heavy-duty Model BBU unloader with vibratory-motor agitation. The simple-to-operate Model BBL loader fills bulk bags, bulk boxes, and fiber drums. Standard features include pneumatic-actuated, pillow-block-mounted, pivoting bag-support arms; a natural-gum-rubber inflatable fill head; a control panel; and a dust-collection outlet port with cartridge. Many loader and unloader options are available.

pbs0803p21c.jpgBag Dump Stations
Ensure clean and safe unloading of bagged, dry bulk solids with this bag-dump station. The dumping stations collect dust generated when dumping powdered, granular, or pelletized materials from bags, boxes, drums, and other containers, and then return the material to the hopper. The system reduces material waste while protecting workers and preventing plant contamination. Each compact station may be specified as a stand-alone unit, integrated into a complete pneumatic conveying system, or custom engineered to suit a specific application.
