Honeywell Adds New Independent Director to Board

October 9, 2019

Technology firm Honeywell announced Monday that Deborah Flint, chief executive officer of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), was recently elected to its Board of Directors as an independent director.

“Deborah brings to the Honeywell Board of Directors a skillset that supports our strategy of becoming the premier software-industrial company, including innovation and technology, finance, and operations in many of the verticals we serve,” Darius Adamczyk, chairman and chief executive officer of Honeywell said in a company release announcing the appointment.

Serving as CEO of LAWA since 2015, Flint led the modernization of airports in Los Angeles (LAX) and Van Nuys (VNY), including the implementation of Internet of Things solutions for safety, security, and airport management. She has also previously occupied senior positions at the Port of Oakland.

“Her deep experience in areas such as critical infrastructure, connected buildings, and advanced security solutions will be invaluable to Honeywell’s leadership team. Her leadership skills are demonstrated each day at LAX, where she is leading the largest public works project in the history of the City of Los Angeles and oversees the largest police force in the U.S.,” Adamczyk said. “We are confident that Deborah’s invaluable expertise and experiences will help advance Honeywell’s ongoing transformation and the acceleration of our growth in software across our end markets.”

Flint’s current role involves managing over $134 million in contracts. During the modernization project at LAX, a new midfield concourse, taxiways, and taxilanes were added to the site and all terminals were renovated with upgraded infrastructure.
