A hopper used to collect metal dust and shavings caught fire at a Colorado Springs, CO manufacturing plant Friday, the Colorado Springs Fire Department said in a tweet.
Firefighters responded to the Western Forge facility after receiving a report of fire at about 3:15 p.m., working for about 45 minutes to extinguish the flames, local ABC News affiliate KRDO reported. The hopper is located outside of the building.
No injuries were reported during the incident and employees at the site were not evacuated, the fire department said.
Officials told local NBC News affiliate KKTV that damages were limited to the hopper. The cause is under investigation.
Western Forge produces tools like screwdrivers.
