American agribusiness Cargill is working with FourKites to provide predictive shipment tracking in food ingredient operations in Brazil after the company successfully deployed the freight visibility platform provider’s solutions in North America, a press release announced Tuesday.
Under the new arrangement, FourKites will supply the firm with its real-time shipment location data and arrival time predictions that will keep tabs on shipments of food products from Cargill facilities to customers.
“This international expansion of FourKites predictive tracking reflects Cargill’s commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in every region where we operate,” Jeannie Frana, global process owner at Cargill Transportation and Logistics, said in a statement. “After successfully implementing FourKites within our North American operations and seeing the power that predictive shipment visibility could bring, we concluded that FourKites was the provider best equipped to scale visibility internationally.”
Cargill said it uses FourKites’ solutions to track truckloads and less-than-truckload (LTL) loads in North America and uses data generated through these activities to make improvements. The technology will help to notify its customers in Brazil of delivery schedule changes.
The agribusiness’ “forward-thinking innovative adoption of FourKites in North America has been exemplary,” said Mathew Elenjickal, the founder and chief executive officer of FourKites, in the release, “and this expansion of FourKites tracking into Brazil is a testament to Cargill’s dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence internationally.”
