Silverson Machines recently introduced a special chemical-duty version of its Flashmix powder/liquid mixer into its extensive product line.

The new FMX-CD means that the advantages of Flashmix technology can now be applied to applications in the chemical industry that were previously not possible.

Designed for aggressive chemical service, the FMX-CD is generally configured to suit specific customer requirements. For example, for applications where Viton is not an option, the FMX-CD can be supplied with PTFE encapsulated O-rings -- a cost saving in comparison to Kalrez or Perlast.

The FMX-CD incorporates elements from Silverson’s LS range in-line mixers, meaning that it can easily be equipped with flanges rather than tri-clamp fittings, depending on customer requirements. Double mechanical shaft seals and flange fittings are standard, with thermosiphon systems and other arrangements available. 

Elastomers, valve, and motor type can be specified to suit the application.
