NETZSCH Offers Outsourced Engineering Service for Mixing and Grinding Operations

Responding to a need for improved process and energy efficiency for manufacturers that utilize wet grinding processes, NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology LLC, now offers Total System Solutions – a turnkey, outsourced engineering service.

Manufacturers of inks, paints, coatings, adhesives, ceramics, food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other bulk products can use the Total System Solutions for engineering and project management of new and expanding plants. The program's single-source accountability allows for increased efficiency of the design process, as well as future production processes.

A Total System Solution recently installed for a gravure ink manufacturer in the United Kingdom now runs entirely with only nine employees and produces approximately 30 million lb of ink per year.

"NETZSCH brings to the table 130 years of proven German engineering and mixing/grinding expertise that standard contract engineering companies can't match,” said Harry Way, technical director, NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology, LLC. "We have product- and industry-specific knowledge based on thousands of equipment installations around the world.”

Under the Total System Solutions program, NETZSCH conducts site surveys and feasibility studies, designs and engineers turnkey plants and systems, and specifies optimal mixing and grinding machinery to meet product specifications and processing parameters. NETZSCH acts as principal contractor, using local suppliers for the construction and equipment installation. After plant start-up, the company provides operator training and on-going support and service to the plant.
