Yargus Manufacturing announces NTEP (National Type Evaluation Program) equipment Certificate of Conformance for its 20-tn hopper, 3000-lb micro hopper, a 50-tn weigh hopper, 18-tn vertical tapered screw blender, 16-tn rotary drum blender weigh hopper, and an 18-tn tower weigh hopper for individual load cell scales.

NTEP, the standardized test to ensure that national requirements are met before weight measuring devices enter the marketplace, is governed by the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM), the independent, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to developing and regulating the United States technical standards for weights and measures.

With the Certificate of Conformance, the NTEP tested Yargus equipment is approved for weight measurement accuracy throughout the entire U.S. The complete weighing system, including the frame, is NTEP certified, demonstrating the equipment’s ability to meet applicable requirements for commercial weighing and measuring in the U.S.

Pretesting, followed by 300 durability weight tests were completed for each piece of equipment. Final testing was completed the week of October 5 to determine the accuracy of the reporting of the load cell scales on the equipment. NTEP certification was issued by NCWM upon successful completion of the evaluation process as an assurance that the standards were met.

“We are proud to include NTEP Certificate of Conformance for load cell scales as a demonstration of our quality standards and dedication to progress in Yargus Manufacturing’s excellence,” said Larry Yargus, president of Yargus Manufacturing.
