Solids handling equipment specialist, Ajax Equipment, has supplied INEOS Inovyn, a leading industrial chemical producer, with a spare screw auger for a soda ash handling system previously supplied by Ajax.

Consisting of inclined collecting screw conveyors and supports, chutes, and diverter valve, the ash handling system improved production capability and capacity at INEOS Inovyn’s Lostock Gralam facility near Northwich, UK.

“INEOS Inovyn’s experience of using Ajax equipment has been a positive one,” said Jon Whieldon, brine & water operations manager, INEOS Inovyn. “They understand our application well and have proven specialist knowledge in solids handling that helped us to incorporate their equipment into our overall design. This has all helped to ensure reliable operation since the installation was commissioned.”

“Ash handling is a challenging application but one that Ajax has a wide range of experience helping customers with. It is always important to work with the material, however, because of ash’s hard wearing nature it is crucial to manage its impact on the handling equipment. In this case stainless steel provides the performance required,” says Eddie McGee, managing director, Ajax Equipment.
