Olds Elevator LLC has announced that John Higley is its new vice president of sales and marketing.

In his role as vice president of sales and marketing, Higley is responsible for evaluation of new market applications and partnerships inside and outside the materials handling market, communicating customer needs within the company, and strategic planning. He is responsible for sales, marketing, and delivering clear and efficient information to customers.

Previously, Higley was a founder and senior vice president of Groundwater Technology Inc., which was twice recognized as an INC500 fastest growing private company and subsequently became a public company with 56 offices throughout the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Higley then became a founder and vice president of sales and marketing at Extraction Systems Inc., a leader in air purification that was acquired and merged with Entegris, where he became director of global product support for the gas phase contamination control division.

Higley has published and lectured extensively and has worldwide experience in providing service and equipment solutions to petrochemical, microelectronics, and environmental markets. He graduated from Denison University in Granville, OH, is active in his community, and sits on several committees and the planning board in his town and a board member of a conservation land trust.
