The Eriez Orange University Mobile Training and Education Center team is once again on the road traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada to deliver education and solutions to customers, right in their own parking lots. The 2015 tour season kicked off in February and will continue through the end of October.

The Orange University Mobile Training and Education Center is a 38-ft Winnebago filled with equipment and resources to facilitate hands-on learning. The set-up is currently tailored to light industry applications and includes an array of state-of-the-art magnetic separators, vibratory conveyors and screeners, and metal detectors, as well as a high-tech multimedia system with mobile broadband and multiple monitors, including a 42-in. touch screen SmartBoard.

Eriez launched the Orange University Mobile Training and Education Center in 2011 to give customers free access to on-site training and equipment demonstrations to help them find solutions to their day-to-day material handling and contamination challenges. “We personalize the Orange University experience to meet the needs of those who step aboard,” says Jayne Corey, Orange University team leader. “They bring us their toughest product purity and material handling processing challenges and we work with them to determine the best and most economical solutions.”

“The nice thing about the Mobile Training and Education Center is that it brought a wide variety of equipment right to our front door, giving us a convenient opportunity to see it, touch it and feel it,” says Carl Hartmangruber, plant manager of Cache Creek Foods. “It’s so much better than looking through a computer or line card.”

The Center is part of the company’s Orange University Program, the umbrella under which Eriez offers free online and offline educational resources, tools, testing, and training opportunities. Orange University also includes the new metalworking demonstration and training vehicle and Eriez’ Technical Center. Additionally, online components such as videos, a literature library, selection/specification calculators, newsletters, magnet safety information, articles, and more are also available.
