Key Technology announces the promotion of Steve Pellegrino to vice president of sales. He will be responsible for growing the company’s sales in North America, South America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Specifically, Pellegrino will plan and manage the regional and inside sales activities that bring Key’s automated inspection, specialized conveying, and product preparation systems to the market.

“During his 12 years with Key, Steve has demonstrated the leadership needed to manage these important sales regions, as well as our inside sales team,” said Jack Ehren, executive vice president and COO/CFO of Key Technology. “He has held several sales management positions with increasing responsibilities, and he has proven his skills at every turn. We are confident that Steve will help the company achieve its goals, and we are very pleased to have him expand his leadership responsibilities.”

Pellegrino has been with Key since 2000. Most recently, he was senior director of U.S. and Canada sales, a role that expanded to include all North American sales and corporate sales operations. Prior to joining Key in 2000, he spent 20 years with FMC Corp. in their Food Handling Equipment operations. Pellegrino holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

“At Key, we are committed to delivering significant value to our customers with innovative technology that improves product quality and food safety, increases yields, and reduces operating costs,” said Pellegrino. “With the industry’s focus on food safety, we have tremendous opportunities in both established markets and emerging markets to make an important difference. I am excited to lead this effort.”
