Kaman Industrial Technologies Breaks Ground on Rubber Fabrication and Assembly Center

Kaman Industrial Technologies Corp. announced the groundbreaking of its new 28,000-sq-ft belt fabrication and hose assembly center outside of Milwaukee.

Currently located just north of Milwaukee downtown, Kaman’s Engineered Rubber Products Center will relocate to the new facility in the first quarter of 2010. Kaman is building the new facility to support the growth of its engineered rubber products services, specializing in custom fabrication and assembly of industrial hose and light- and heavy-weight conveyor belting. The company has more than doubled its rubber products output in the last four years.

With significant inventory investments in premium belting and hose brands the new facility will assist customers in a variety of markets including food, pharmaceutical, printing, packaging, warehousing and distribution, mining, aggregate, paper, and power generation. Plans include the addition of hydraulic hose capabilities and a second shift as production increases.

“Our new facility will allow us to expand our capacity and capability to better serve our customers with an extensive, market-specific inventory from leading manufacturers,” said Joe Haen, engineered rubber products manager. “Kaman Industrial Technologies is committed to becoming a one stop shop for our customers belting fabrication and hose assembly needs supported by our customer service centers, rubber specialists, and application engineers.”
