On September 18, 2018 at 2pm Eastern/11am Pacific, Eric Maynard, vice president, Jenike & Johanson, will present "Selecting a Conveyor is Easy...Living with a Poorly Operating Conveyor is Not!" as part of Powder & Bulk Solids' DryPro free webinar series.
In this webinar, a review of key considerations for selection of mechanical conveyors will be presented. An overview of features, typical capacities, and operating principles for each type of mechanical conveyor will be discussed. Project managers responsible for integration of mechanical conveyors into their bulk solids handling systems should attend this event to learn how to avoid costly mistakes with improper selection of a conveyor for a tough application.
Attend this webinar and:
- Learn about the common types of mechanical conveyors and their features.
- Discover how to quickly determine which type of mechanical conveyor is suitable for your solids.
- Walk-away with helpful hints on do's and don'ts with conveyors.
- Identify scenarios to avoid selection of an inappropriate conveyor for a tough application.
Maynard received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. During his 21 years at Jenike & Johanson, he has designed handling systems for bulk solids including cement, coal, limestone, plastic powder, food products, and pharmaceuticals. He is the cement industry specialist at Jenike & Johanson, as well as the technical specialist for dust explosions and powder electrostatic behavior. He routinely lectures on the storage, flow, and pneumatic conveying of bulk solids for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) continuing education series, private companies, in-house courses, and the Powder & Bulk Solids Conference.
