Booked orders increased by 44.22% when compared to January 2021

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its January 2022 booked orders increased by 44.22% when compared to January 2021, and decreased by 18.43% compared to December 2021. December 2021 booked orders had increased 8.08% compared to November 2021.

January 2022 booked orders for bulk handling equipment increased 6.9% compared to December 2021. January 2022 booked orders for unit handling equipment decreased 25.42% when compared to December 2021.

CEMA’s January 2022 billed sales (shipments) increased by 17.86% compared to January 2021, and decreased 17.84% compared to December 2021. This contrasts with the December 2021 increase of 9.37% when compared to November 2021.

January 2022 billed sales for bulk handling equipment increased 6.98% when compared to December 2021. The bulk handling increase follows a 6.95% decrease for December 2021 vs. November 2021.

January 2022 billed sales for unit handling equipment decreased 22.46% when compared to December 2021. The billed sales for unit handling’s decrease compares to an increase of 13.05% for December 2021 vs. November 2021.
