Billed sales decreased by 7.07%

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its March 2022 booked orders increased by 13.93% when compared to March 2021 and by 36.25% compared to February 2022 booked orders.

February 2022 booked orders had decreased 12.47% compared to January 2022 booked orders.

March 2022 booked orders for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 14.29% compared to February 2022, while March 2022 booked orders for Unit Handling Equipment increased 48.16% when compared to February.

CEMA’s March 2022 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 7.07% compared to March 2021, and increased 38.33% compared to February 2022. This contrasts with the February 2022 decrease of 2.01% when compared to January 2022.

March 2022 billed sales for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 25.23% when compared to February. The Bulk Handling decrease follows a 4.06% decrease for February 2022 vs. January 2022. March 2022 billed sales for Unit Handling Equipment increased 41.617% when compared to February 2022. The billed sales for Unit Handling’s increase compares to a decrease of 1.49% for last month (February 2022) vs. January 2022.
