The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its December 2020 booked orders decreased 40.78% when compared to December, but increased by 38.16% compared to November 2020.

December 2020 booked orders for Bulk Handling Equipment decreased 7.58% compared to November 2020. December 2020 booked orders for Unit Handling Equipment increased 52.69% when compared to November 2020.

CEMA’s December 2020 billed sales (shipments) increased by 16.52% compared to December 2019. December 2020 billed sales increased 20.77% compared to November 2020. This contrasts with the November 2020 increase of 0.14% when compared to October 2020.

December 2020 billed sales for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 13.72% when compared to November 2020. The Bulk Handling increase follows a 20.78% decrease in November 2020 vs. October 2020. December 2020 billed sales for Unit Handling Equipment increased 22.36% when compared to November 2020. The billed sales for Unit Handling’s increase compares to an increase of 6.47% for last month (November 2020) vs. October 2020.
