August Conveying Equipment Orders up 58% YOY

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its August 2019 booked orders increased 58.1% when compared to August 2018 orders.

When compared to July 2019, August 2019 booked orders were up 27.2%.

August booked orders were down 3% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 42.0% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to July.

CEMA’s August 2019 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 6.1% when compared to August 2018 sales.

August 2019 billed sales when compared to July billed sales were up 3.2%.

August billed sales were up 1.6% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 3.8% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to July.
