Vortex Offers 10-Year Warranty on Loading Spout Cables
Vortex announces a 10-year warranty on its loading spout lifting cables for its standard and high-volume loading spout systems.
Vortex's loading spouts are unique for loading bulk materials into open and/or enclosed vessels because of their 4-cable lifting design that provides maximum stability, compared to the standard 2- or 3-cable systems. The in-line drive system also incorporates 3-piece CNC-machined pulleys that feature chamfered edges and precision cable grooves to reduce cable wear and back lashing as the loading spout extends and retracts, especially during the misalignment of the hatch opening. Because the cables do not fray, cable failure is nearly eliminated and so is costly downtime for repairs.
"We are confident that our loading spout's design will increase the lifespan of the lifting cables," says Jon Jasinski, vice president of loading solutions. "Our cables will seldom need replacing, saving our customers downtime and money."
The warranty covers any Vortex loading spout cable that breaks due to friction from the pulley system. Vortex will replace the cables if they are defective due to wear or irritation caused by the CNC machined pulleys.
In addition to the telescopic loading spouts, Vortex offers positioners, a dustless in-line filtration system, and aeration systems to load and convey dry bulk materials in various applications including railcars, semi-tankers, open trucks, barges, and open stockpiling.
