Material Handling and Blending System

Custom Powder Systems designed and built a material handling and blending system for potent oral solid dosage compounds using V-Shell blending, split butterfly valves, and isolation technology, to achieve OELs of <.1 mcg/m3/8 hours. Batch preparation begins using a subdivision isolator to charge V-transportable shells that are transported to a column blender. Blended compounds in V-shells are inverted on a slave cart via direct coupled split butterfly valves. The completed batch is transported to compression, elevated by a column lift and docked to the tablet press for charging. Additional column lifts and tablet IBCs are used from tablet press to coating to tablet printing to packaging, completing the process.
