Matcon Group Ltd announced the relocation of its U.S. operation from Sewell, NJ to Elmhurst, IL. The Elmhurst facility is home to The Fitzpatrick Co. Both Matcon and Fitzpatrick are companies within the IDEX Material Processing Technologies (MPT) Platform. The combined location will form an IDEX MPT Center of Excellence.

Opening in early May 2014, Matcon’s new facility will feature a 5000-sq-ft state-of-the-art testing facility. There will be a series of open house events planned to run in parallel to the 2014 Powder Show from May 6-8. IDEX MPT Companies Matcon, Quadro, and Fitzpatrick will be exhibiting in booth 1234 at the Powder Show.

“We are committed to growing our business significantly in the USA and believe that the relocation positions us best to achieve this growth,” said Matcon managing director Charles Lee. “Many of our key customers are located within easy reach of O’Hare International Airport, which is less than 20 minutes from the Elmhurst location. Additionally, we feel that with the formation of an IDEX MPT Center of Excellence, we can leverage resources to best serve our customers.”

Matcon is a global leader in providing systems for handling dry solids based around portable containers (IBCs) for batch powder processing in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.
