Key Technology announces the appointment of Randy Unterseher to the position of senior director of aftermarket for North America and the intercontinental region, which includes Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Australia/New Zealand.
Unterseher is responsible for leading the activities that help ensure Key’s installed base of digital sorters, conveying solutions and process automation systems operate at peak performance.
The aftermarket team delivers Key’s PROliance suite of services and support, including training, parts, upgrades, 24/7 telephone support, and localized service technicians.
“Key is very well respected for its superior customer service around the world, and we’re continuing to build on our commitment to achieve 100 percent customer satisfaction. We recently brought our aftermarket group and sales team together under one umbrella to strengthen our customer-facing focus,” said Steve Pellegrino, senor vice president of global sales at Key Technology. “Randy is ideally suited to help lead our aftermarket group. He has a deep understanding of our markets and customers as well as our equipment. We are excited to have him back at Key.”
Unterseher brings 28 years of leadership experience in the food processing industry to his position, including 20 years with Key. Most recently he was vice president of marketing at Lyco Manufacturing. Prior to that, he held a number of management positions at Key in marketing, sales operations, and sales engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Walla Walla University and earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix.
“I’m excited to leverage my knowledge of technology in a connected world to make Key’s service and support a seamless experience for customers. Earlier this year, Key introduced its new online service desk with easy access to track and search support tickets and its online portal for up-to-date technical manuals. I’m here to help take Key’s service to the next level,” said Unterseher. “I’m proud to focus my energy on important initiatives that are designed to maximize customer satisfaction.”
Gertjan Lieftink remains responsible for the aftermarket in Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa (EMEIA) and reports to Eric Geling, senior director of sales for the EMEIA Region.
