Flexicon Opens Singapore Office

Flexicon Corp., a leading international producer of bulk handling equipment, has accelerated its expansion in Southeast Asia with the opening of a new facility in Singapore, it was announced by David Gill, president.

"Flexicon bulk handling equipment has been purchased throughout Southeast Asia since 1975, with exponential growth over the last several years," said Gill. "We have committed to accelerating this growth with the opening of our Singapore office and hiring of a dedicated staff with full access to Flexicon's corporate resources."

The Singapore office will be headed by Jhuning Chng, applications engineer, who holds a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of South Australia, and an M.B.A from Manchester Business School, and has trained on site at Flexicon's world headquarters in Bethlehem, PA over the past year.

Chng will be responsible for building relationships with plant managers, engineers, and other decision-makers at Southeast Asian facilities that handle bulk solid materials across the food, pharmaceutical, packaging, and general chemical industries.

The Singapore office will have direct access to details on more than 15,000 installations of Flexicon bulk handling equipment including: flexible screw conveyors, tubular cable conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems, bulk bag conditioners, bulk bag dischargers, bulk bag fillers, drum/box/container tippers, manual dumping stations, weigh batching systems, and engineered plant-wide systems integrated with the new or existing equipment or processes.

"The Singapore office also has full access to Flexicon's worldwide engineering resources, which, together with our Lifetime Performance Guarantee, can take the risk out of purchasing bulk handling equipment and systems," notes Gill.

Flexicon Corporation owns and operates manufacturing facilities in Bethlehem, PA, Kent, England, Brisbane, Australia, and Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
