Advanced MI Payload 1.03 Software Gains NTEP Certification

Avery Weigh-Tronix LLC has announced its newest software product, Measurement Intelligence (MI) Payload 1.03, has been awarded the Certificate of Conformance by the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP). MI Payload is a software solution for truck scale applications, where documenting the weight of commodities and products is a key component of the supply chain process.

Designed to manage weight-derived data from legal-for-trade scale transactions, MI Payload improves the weighing process with sophisticated networking and programming tools—allowing users to log, manage, update, and send all necessary data from a single PC linked to a single truck scale. It is also scalable to interface with multiple scales and operate within a complex IT environment, alongside other supply chain and customer data management solutions.

MI Payload operates utilizing the Microsoft SQL 2005 database and can be run on any PC using the Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista operating system. For each scale transaction, it can be simply configured to require minimal user input, expediting operator training, and improving productivity. Having received first its California Certificate of Approval Number 5574-08 and then NTEP Certificate 08-079, MI Payload 1.03 now provides customers with further assurance of its high-accuracy performance, exceptional data management capabilities, and satisfaction of key industry standards.

“Our development team has worked hard to meet the requirements of what is, and continues to be, an important and evolving evaluation program in the U.S.,” said Simon Hallam, global software product manager at Avery Weigh-Tronix. “Through this process, the already-advanced MI Payload software has received NTEP certification and developed into an even stronger, more functional product.”

Peggi Trimble, Avery Weigh-Tronix president, North America, added, “Gaining NTEP approval for MI Payload not only demonstrates our commitment to software for the U.S. market, it also enables businesses in more states to take advantage of the powerful truck scale solution it provides.”

The recently accredited MI Payload’s intuitive interface—-featuring a logical layout, easily recognizable icons, and predictable shortcut keys—-makes common tasks quick and straightforward to perform. Its configuration capabilities enhance the software’s usability, allowing authorized operators to use MI Payload’s extensive preference tools to manage vehicle tares and expiration, handle sales tax and fees, and control invoice generation and payment processing. With its advanced functions, application flexibility, and NTEP certification, MI Payload delivers a comprehensive data management solution for use with the broadest range of truck scale operations.
