Silo Collapse Kills 3 Workers at Grain Facility in Egypt

A silo collapse at a grain facility in Alexandria, Egypt on Tuesday killed three and left about a dozen people with injuries, several English-language Egyptian news organizations reported. 

An official in Alexandria’s Security Directorate said the workers were fatally injured when heavy flour sacks fell onto them, according to a coverageby the Egyptian Independent

The Egyptian Ministry of Health said that 11 other people were injured when the wheat silo collapsed, AhramOnline reported. Those with injuries were transported to area hospitals for treatment. 

No reports contained information on the cause of the collapse.
