Penn Color Finishes $12M Facility Expansion Project

Doylestown, PA-based Penn Color, a manufacturer of color and additive concentrates, masterbatches, pigment dispersions, and engineered coatings, recently announced the completion of a $12 million expansion project at its production facility in Venray, the Netherlands.

Production capabilities for high-end specialty coatings, highly concentrated PVC and engineering plastics color, and additive masterbatches were added to the site, the company said in a press release. Prior to the expansion, the Penn Color plant in Venray only produced thermoplastic masterbatches for applications like packaging and water-based inks.

“With the expansion at our Venray facility, we are investing in our clients’ future, ahead of their needs,” Penn Color President Kevin Putman Jr. said in a statement. “In doing so, we are able to capitalize on future opportunities and expand our partnerships with our clients. The new Venray site provides enhanced levels of service, support, and access to world-class capabilities.”

In addition, the company also added a new Customer Innovation Center to the facility to further collaboration with clients, a new laboratory, warehouse space, and improved office areas.

Penn Color said it plans to hold an opening ceremony on October 12.
