A fire broke out in a machine shop at the Wolfkill Feed and Fertilizer feed facility in Othello, WA last Friday afternoon, several local news organizations reported.

Crews were called to the site at about 3:30 p.m. after the blaze ignited in a machine shop located in an external structure. Firefighters worked for seven hours to douse the flames, but the machine shop was destroyed in the incident, the company’s manager, Todd Roney, told the Columbia Basin Herald

Roney said in coverage by iFiberOne that the fire may have been caused by a space heater that was being used in the machine shop. No injuries were reported during the event.

Last November, a fire started in a hopper at the Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health plant in Temple, TX, forcing about 15 workers to evacuate the plant.
