Kistler SOLO is a turnkey, nonintrusive, weight and level measurement solution for bulk material storage and inventory control. It offers an accurate, stable measurement solution at performance levels approaching those of load cells. The Kistler SOLO solution includes intelligent electronics and StrainCell sensors, a new, patented technology from longtime inventor Walter Kistler to overcome temperature effect on measurements. The sensor is installed with a single bolt on the outside of a steel silo. Measurement readings can be integrated into remote data acquisition or computer and software systems to manage, monitor, and control inventory. Kistler SOLO is offered in two models: the SOLO beam model for legged silos, and the SOLO skirted model for skirted silos. Current applications are silos storing cement, plastics, flour, limestone rock, asphalt, and limestone powder.
