NDC Infrared Engineering has appointed Robert Szepvolgyi as director of customer care Asia. Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for all customer care activities in both the Asian and Japanese arenas.

Szepvolgvi graduated from California Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science, Aerospace Engineering. Before joining NDC, he was senior manager of field operations for Asia Pacific at Veeco Instruments. There he supervised a technical team of 29 managers and field engineers with responsibilities for customer satisfaction, infrastructure development & strategic planning, as well as service, marketing, and sales.

In his new role, Szepvolgyi will work closely with the customer care team facilitating communication of customer related issues, product reliability, and support related matters while ensuring that NDC customers receive the highest level of satisfaction.

NDC Infrared Engineering offers an extensive range of non-contact sensors and systems for measurement of moisture, fat, protein, and continuous web processes variables such as coat weight and film thickness. The group's range of complementary measurement technologies for the web industry includes infrared absorption, beta transmission, gamma backscatter, X-ray fluorescence and transmission, laser caliper, and UV absorption.
