SOR Inc. has acquired Setex Products LLC, headquartered in Beaumont, TX, enabling SOR to strengthen its portfolio of temperature measurement solutions for the oil & gas, refining, chemical, and power generation markets. Setex will be a division of SOR Inc.

Setex is a manufacturer of high-quality thermowells, protection tubes, and sample probes, and is ISO 9001-2008 certified. Thermowells are tubular fittings used to protect temperature sensors installed in industrial processes.

“The acquisition of Setex positions SOR as one of the premier suppliers of temperature measurement products for the process industries,” said Mike Waters, president and CEO of SOR. “We remain committed to our strategy of providing engineered-to-order products with off-the-shelf speed, and Setex’s focus on quality, short lead times, and competitive market pricing is consistent with our vision. In addition, the Setex facility furthers our presence in the important Gulf Coast market.”
