Shick USA, a Kansas City ingredient automation company, hired Rod Harris as its first international sales manager.

Harris will use his international sales experience in the food industry, knowledge of Latin American business practices and culture, and proficiency in the Spanish language to grow Shick’s global presence. He will also assist in the development of specific domestic accounts.

“It's exciting to add Rod to the Shick team,” said Scott Fischer, director of sales and marketing. “He brings a great blend of industry experience, technical savvy and relationship focus. His passion, enthusiasm, and flexibility will ensure a smooth transition with his new team.”

Harris previously worked for Zeppelin Systems USA Inc. (formerly Reimelt) for 17 years as a sales manager for the company’s Northeast and Latin America territories. He also helped build and support Zeppelin’s branch in Brazil.

“I am excited to be joining the Shick team filled with dynamic, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable personnel dedicated to the success of their clients,” Harris said.

Harris graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s of science in ocean engineering. He is a native of Chile and lived in South America for 19 years in both Chile and Venezuela.
