Powder Flow Tester with Small Volume Shear Cell

Requiring only 43cc of powder, Brookfield’s PFT with small volume shear cell is designed for pharmaceutical formulators who test expensive powders in limited quantities. The small volume shear cell has an added technical performance ability to generate higher consolidation stresses simulating conditions in larger bins and silos, which may be appropriate for less expensive excipients. The PFT provides quick and easy analysis of powder flow behavior. R&D can also rapidly characterize new formulations for flowability, and adjust composition to match the flow behavior of established products. Technicians can QC check incoming materials and evaluate how powders will discharge from storage containers. Brookfield also offers powder sample testing, with the first three tests free and a nominal charge for additional sample testing.
