Powder Show Booth 2316 - VIAVI introduces the MicroNIR PAT-Ux process monitoring NIR spectrometer for hazardous locations.
The PAT-Ux enables real-time monitoring of drying, blending, granulation, and tableting operations, and is safe in the presence of flammable gases, vapors, fibers, or dust. The PAT-Ux joins a family of high-performance miniature NIR spectrometers, including handheld and process monitoring models. It allows customers to move directly to hazardous production environments using chemometric models and processes developed in the lab.
The PAT-Ux is ATEX, NEC, and IECEx certified for chemical, agriculture, food, and feed applications. Customers are currently using the PAT-Ux in the following applications:
- Fluid bed drying in acute and chronic care pharmaceutical manufacturing
- High-shear mixing in biopharma manufacturing
- Flour analysis in wheat grain processing
- Wheat and rice flour processing for noodle production
- Explosives manufacturing
